don't ever ask a person to be herself.
for one, you don't know for sure whether the person is already being his/her natural self or not. secondly, if the person wants to be someone else, why stop her?
as long as the someone else is who she wants to be, and not someone that she's been forced or pressured into being, then that person could well be her natural self.
sometimes, who you want to be is who you really are. like in Harry Potter, Harry is a parceltongue and would do well in Slytherin. but it was his choice to be a Gryffindor, and thus that is what he is.
get it?
its not hard really. besides, you wouldn't want to ask a murderer or racist to just be who they are right? hahaha.
i don't know who i really am. no one does. just like i'll never know who other people really are, even close friends or family (definitely not). and the feeling's good. it's good. why try and classify life?
been thinking alot lately, as usual. like how happiness is a state of mind, and emotions tend to be dramatised too often. I don't think i'm really happy with my life, and i don't think that anyone could be truly contented with theirs. there will always be something more, no matter what those zennists or "enlightened" people claim. even if its not money or material, wouldn't you want more? wouldn't you want there to be a constant supply of oxygen for the rest of your life? wouldn't you want your life to be un-polluted? wouldn't you want to spend the rest of your life in peace, and if you did, wouldn't you go all out to sustain it?
there will always be something to do, something more that you want. because the world is ever-changing, so do our needs. its just something so human, so intrinsically engrained into our psyches, that we can't deny it.
saw the news on tv of all the shit happening in paris, of people destroying the handicapped thingies, and i am just like WTF. how can we claim to be a civilised society, if we can't even sustain the most basic aspects of humanity? so we have cutting-edge technology, so we have these great entrepreneurs, but so what? all these new inventions serve to use up even more energy, fuel, oil, resources that are fast drying up. People invent stupid things like electronic pets, those battery-operated toy dog robots. hello? just get the real thing, and stop destroying the environment can? even if its solar panels, also need materials to be built one.
ergh. watched russell peters at eud's house today after completing the brochure thingy and while doing inr, the most ridiculous thing ever. not russell peters that is. he is freaking funny! !xobile LOL. making racist jokes about your own race. people need to lighten up, seriously.
although i don't doubt that i myself would jump up and start cursing at the top of my lungs if anyone insulted the chinese or demeaned the fairer sex or mocked slackers.
I have absolutely no qualms about procrastination.
its all over this freaking blog-
