i havent updated in a long long while.
hmmmm. dunno what to say (gasp! for the first time ever!), which was why i didnt blog for so long in the first place. so prelim results were kind of what i expected. econs like shit, lit okay. hist was a surprise though. for the first time in my life, my sea was actually better than my international!
wth!!!
a truly unforeseen and unprecedented event. nuclear arms race killed me. and my end of cold war let me down i'm so saddddddddd. i love that topic. econs essays were a horrific abomination, not really that shocked cause hmmm lets see two out of three of the topics i spotted didnt come out! aha! i sense a discrepancy!
boo i'm getting so tired.
found some cute stuff on youtube. (i'm hopelessly addicted)

S.H.E yue gui nu shen

ignore some of the more corny images in the vid and this is beautiful. in fact, just ignore the vid altogether. the song is an absolute winner. and the lyrics were written by fang wen shan (jay chou anyone?) which ensures a certain mythical quality. the harmonies are great, and the chorus is actually pretty tough to sing well because of the pitch. its sort of... neither high nor low, the most difficult range (the sop 2 range) at some parts, and requires you to switch between chest voice and head voice very frequently.
anyway my point is, its probably S.H.E's best song ever produced (or at least one of them). this takes into consideration that only hebe can sing out of the three (and is the prettiest too....the middle one out of the trio in most of the song). ella and selina dont sound half bad here huh. i rmb when i first heard this song i was quite impressed, then when they reached the bridge (4:00 onwards), i was like my god this is pure genius! of course i was listening to it on headphones, so the surround sound played a part, but really the intertwining harmonies are awesome. maybe i'll put up translations.
isnt it strange that its their non-commercial/non-overplayedontheradio hits that are the best? hidden gems i say. another example would be zhu luo ji.

i also chanced upon this

its a queer eye music video! sort of. and you know what, it rocks! hahaha its just so cute. was totally amused watching it, cute stuff yeah.
"we're gonna be out of season before we get there." LOLS
tmr is like the last official day of school! or rather, today is. hmmmm
