if i had a voice like that, i wouldn't be wasting it on songs like a public affair.
i mean, as much as i like a public affair (LOLS my deepest darkest secret), jessica simpson's voice really has far far more potential. that performance was in 2000 btw. was listening to one of my old cds ( i classify them as 'retro' now hahaha) and i totally remembered singing my lungs out to this song. literally. the pitch is so high i'm using my head voice most of the time.
if u listen to the original studio version, its even more stellar. absolutely pitch perfect plus without those nasty rasps and cracks she tends to slide into occasionally live. she tends to strain a bit when it comes to the high notes. then again, those are really spectacularly high notes.
