it's all over. the rain still falls and soaks through white, soaks through budding aspirations and mutes whispered hopes by foolish boys daring to dream. it's all over. italy will be remembered forever now. a place of paradox, where dreams were newly formed and dreams newly shattered. roma, a night of pure magic, and milan, a night of pure tragedy.
we are only so young it hurts.

i don't understand. i really don't. it was supposed to be the perfect day, the perfect day, where liverpool had beaten chelsea somehow and the usp interview went pretty well somehow and blake gave a stunning performance on idol somehow, and somehow, the perfect day culminated into the worst nightmare.
i can't count the number of times we've won by this margin, but we've never ever before lost by it.
i so badly wanted this to be the icing on the cake, but it turned out to be the acid. pssshloff. layers and layers of creamy richness dissolved just like that. somehow. guess you really can't have your cake and eat it too huh.
oh my poor poor boys.

"things have a way of turning out so badly."-

i realised that this song is perfect. was perfect. right in those dying moments before the final whistle, before it blew everything to fragments. the lyrics are so, so poignant.

Time Is Running Out - Muse

I think I'm drowning, Asphyxiated
I wanna break this spell
That you've created
You're something beautiful, A contradiction
I wanna play the game
I want the friction

You will be the death of me
You will be the death of me

Bury it
I won't let you bury it
I won't let you smother it
I won't let you murder it

Our time is running out
Our time is running out
You can't push it underground
You can't stop it screaming out

I wanted freedom, Bound and restricted
I tried to give you up
But I'm addicted
Now that you know I'm trapped, Sense of elation
You'd never dream of
Breaking this fixation

How did it come to this
You will suck the life out of me
Bury it, I won't let you bury it
I won't let you smother it
I won't let you murder it

And our time is running out
And our time is running out
You can't push it underground
You can't stop it screaming out
How did it come to this?
