first things first!

i wanna watch this!
don't know if it will be approved in singapore though. hmmm ))):
i like that the whole comic element of the movie isn't on the whole 'gay' theme, but on the hilarity of two people who clearly don't love each other in that way being forced to marry and live together. this gives a whole new meaning on 'staying in the closet' (the STRAIGHT closet of course hahahaha) adam sandler ftw!
i still remember little nicky haha.

had med checkup on monday which was so freaking slow and long it took over 2 hours and i still wasn't done. me and sheryl looked at the queue for the x ray clinic and decided to forget it or we'd reach home at midnight.
went back to nus for the x ray today, queue was still long but at least went pretty fast.

word of advice for people who haven't gone for med checkup. girls, its stated in the freshmen guide you have to wear a PLAIN shirt, not a white shirt. please don't wear a white plain shirt, it is probably the worst thing you could ever wear.
no matter the colour of your shirt, they will ask you to remove your bra and you have to wait in the waiting room for ur turn. and white is very very transparent. also try to avoid prints totally (my shirt had some words at the back but still wasn't alot, and they asked me to change into this plain blue sack-like top they will give you).
also, try to avoid going at peak hours, although i cannot for my life tell you when its a nonpeak hour. it always seems crowded.
also, try not to laugh too loudly at the urine test part. you'll be required to carry a small plastic cup of your urine (YES I AM NOT JOKING) to and from the toilet to the nurses room and there are normally plenty of people queuing and milling around along the way. the first time i realised what was happening, we laughed and laughed until people around were giving scandalised looks. hey we're not laughing at your urine. we're laughing because of the way some people were shiftily using their hands to cover the cup as they walked by. i mean, i did that too. lols

the cheerful talkative old man giving the eyesight test is simply adorable. "never mind! try again ah, try again". he started right from the bottom and the numbers were like little black ants squatting on the white board and i was just randomly firing off numbers sometimes. i was not-so-blatantly (hopefully) cheating a bit by leaving a gap betwen my fingers over my left eye but i think he either didn't notice or didn't want to give the game away. hee.

ok. i am sianded. the weather is so freaking hot nowadays. global warming is happening right now, people. it really is time to go green. now or never. everyday when we step out of our houses you can't help but notice that today is hotter than yesterday.
stop accepting plastic bags from cashiers for small groceries!
recycle ur plastic bottles!
turn off lights/taps/laptops/whatever when you're not in the room!
stop leaving the aircon on when you're clearly feeling cold!
etcetc.
